Australians Urged to Leave Lebanon Following Fatal Israeli Airstrike

The Australian government advises citizens to evacuate Lebanon immediately due to the recent Israeli airstrike that killed two Australians. The deceased, Ali and Ibrahim Bazzi, along with Ibrahim's wife Shorouk, lost their lives during the attack in Bint Jbeil. The Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) is still investigating claims made by Hezbollah, who stated that Ali Bazzi was one of their fighters. Acting Foreign Minister Mark Dreyfus emphasized that any Australian affiliated with or supporting Hezbollah would be committing a crime. The Australian Embassy in Beirut is prepared to provide assistance to the Bazzi family, should they require it.
